Abstract

Ethnomathematics is defined as the specific ways in which a particular cultural group or society engages in mathematical activities. This research aims to explain the  ethnomathematics elements of a traditional game of congklak and how it is applied in  mathematics learning. The method used in this article is ethnographic approach and  qualitative research. The results of this study show the existence of ethnomathematics in the game of congklak, There are mathematical concepts in the traditional game of congklak,  namely the circle, and counting activities (multiplication, division, addition and subtraction), whole numbers and fractions, solid; Children's understanding can train thinking skills (cognitive), counting skills, hone social skills, learn to understand the rules and can train children in being honest, patient and sportive.
