Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that is considered difficult by most students in Indonesia. This is because mathematics is considered meaningless and free from cultural elements. Indonesia is known as a country rich in culture. With the diversity of cultures that exist in Indonesia, it can be used to be integrated with learning mathematics. Ethnomatematics is present as a study that links the relationship between mathematics and culture. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore mathematical concepts that are integrated into cultural elements, traditional Lampung cakes. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) which is carried out by reviewing, evaluating, and interpreting various studies that are relevant to the formulation of the problem to be studied. The results of this study indicate that traditional Lampung cakes such as selimpok, engkak, sekubal, bebai maghing, and buak tat contain mathematical concepts of geometric shapes such as rectangular pyramids, tubes, cubes, and blocks. The concept of volume is actually applied from preparing cake ingredients to the manufacturing process. So, this cultural object in the form of a traditional Lampung cake can be used as a learning resource both in terms of form and the manufacturing process which can facilitate students in understanding mathematical concepts.
