Abstract

Merdeka belajar is a new curriculum program from the Ministry of Education and Culture as a renewal of previous curricula to transform education for the realization of Indonesia's superior Human Resources (HR) who have the profile of Pancasila students. Computational thinking is a method of thinking by applying computer science techniques that are effective and efficient and structured in solving problems. In this study, the suitability of the computational thinking learning method and the independent learning curriculum in mathematics learning is discussed based on the results of interviews. The purpose of this study was to determine the suitability of the use of the computational thinking learning method with the independent learning curriculum in learning mathematics. The type of research used is phenomenological research qualitative research with data collection techniques through literature studies and interviews. The results of this study, it was found that mathematics learning based on computational thinking provides understanding to students in finding mathematical solutions so that it is effectively applied by educators in the era of independent learning curriculum. Based on the results of data collection, it can be concluded that the use of the computational thinking learning method in mathematics lessons in the era of the independent learning curriculum is the right step.
