Peran Orang Tua dalam Perkembangan Sosial dan Emosional Anak Usia Dini di Desa Kalijambe Kecamatan Sragi Kabupaten Pekalongan

Abstract

The application of education to early childhood really influences all aspects of child development towards the child's life in the future, including the role or parenting style that parents apply which really influences early childhood development, especially in aspects of social emotional development. Social emotional development includes an individual's ability to adapt to their environment, both in terms of social interactions with family, school and society, as well as in terms of expressing and managing emotions. This research aims to explain the role of parents in the social emotional development of children in Kalijambe village, Sragi subdistrict, Pekalongan district. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with field research. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data is tested through triangulation and sources. The results of this research indicate that parents play an important role in the development of social-emotional skills in early childhood. They act as the first primary educators, as examples to be followed, and also as friends for the children.
