Pemerolehan Bahasa pada Anak dari Dampak Media Sosial dan Internet

Abstract

The rapid development of social media and the internet has raised concerns about its impact on
children's language acquisition. This research aims to determine the influence of social media and
the internet on language acquisition in children. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method
approach, which uses observation data. The research results show that exposure to social media and
the internet at an early age can significantly influence children's language acquisition, especially in
terms of vocabulary and grammar. This research shows that children who use social media and the
internet more often tend to have larger vocabularies and better grammar skills, but also show
decreased attention spans and an increased risk of language disorders. Apart from that, this research
found that parents' use of social media and the internet also plays an important role in shaping their
children's language acquisition. The implications of this research suggest that parents and educators
should be aware of the potential benefits and risks of social media and the internet on children's
language acquisition and take steps to reduce their negative impacts.
