Abstract
This research aims to explore the role of puspanjali dance in improving children's gross motor skills at the Dewi Ratih Dance Studio, Gianyar Bali. Using a qualitative approach and field study methods, data was obtained through direct observation, in-depth interviews with dance instructors, and active participation in dance activities. The results showed that puspanjali dance, with its dynamic and coordinative movements, significantly improved children's gross motor skills. Children who regularly practice this dance show better development in balance, agility and body coordination. Apart from that, dance activities also have a positive impact on other aspects such as children's discipline, self-confidence and social abilities. These findings emphasize the importance of including local cultural elements such as the puspanjali dance in children's motor development programs in dance studios and other educational institutions, to support children's holistic development. This research provides insight into how traditional dance can be an effective tool in children's motor and social development.
