Abstract

  • Assessment can be defined as the process of obtaining information in any form that can be used as the basis for making decisions about students both regarding their personality and curriculum. While language development is one of the aspects of development in early childhood that is important to develop, because language is a means of communication in conveying messages, desires, opinions to others and fulfilling the desires of others. The method used in the research is qualitative research, a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written and spoken words from the people and behavior observed. The results of this study indicate that the assessment of language development of children aged 4-5 years at TA Az-Zahrah Rifaiyah Bojong is quite good as seen from the assessment techniques used by the teacher. The assessment carried out by the teacher gradually within a predetermined time span for the progress of children's language development after following the learning provided by the teacher.
