Abstrak

Local cultural wisdom has an important role in enriching children's understanding and experience of their cultural heritage. In this digital era, where the Alpha generation is growing and developing, the role of teachers becomes very important in introducing aspects of local culture to them. This research aims to explore the strategies and roles of teachers in integrating local wisdom, especially through the traditional wayang art approach, with Alpha generation children at the early childhood school level. The research method uses a qualitative method with a case study approach and data collection carried out through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and analysis of documents related to the curriculum and teaching materials. The research results confirm that teacher involvement has a crucial role in generating students' interest and understanding of wayang art. Teachers not only act as educators, but also as liaisons between culture and the context of modern student life.
