Abstract

School is the best place to carry out a systematic and continuous educational learning process. The role of educators is expected to be able to realize learning that facilitates students to behave in an educated manner and produce students who are ethical and have good morals. Schools are also expected to be able to become a safe and comfortable place for children to learn. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research to explore an in-depth understanding of the role of educators in creating child-friendly schools in the Cempaka Jaya Sapuro Kindergarten, Pekalongan City. Data collection techniques use 3 methods, namely observation, interviews and documentation. In this research, the school ensures that teachers are able to develop children's interests, talents and abilities and prepare children to negotiate a life of tolerance, mutual respect and work together for progress and a spirit of peace. The school also provides safe and comfortable facilities and infrastructure such as providing separate bathrooms for male and female students, facilities for people with disabilities, the school also carries out socialization of policies and programs related to the prevention and handling of violence together with educational units, as well as handling allegations of abuse. violence in the educational unit environment. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the role of educators is very important in creating child-friendly schools through positive interactions, approaches and support, so as to create an environment that supports the growth and welfare of children at the Cempaka Jaya Sapuro Kindergarten, Pekalongan City.
