Abstract

Creativity competency as an important skill is fostered to develop creative thinking in schools so that it emerges among 21st-century students and its application contributes innovatively to individuals and global society. Educators should combine their knowledge of topics, mathematical structures, and practices in mathematics by creating a framework related to students' mathematical creative reasoning and working memory capacity. The systematic literature review follows the 10-step approach by Gough et al. The research questions consist of: What are the challenges and opportunities for innovative learning using digital technology in the 21st century? How does digital technology affect mathematical creative reasoning? How does digital technology affect working memory capacity? What are the challenges and opportunities for innovative learning using digital technology to improve mathematical creative reasoning and working memory capacity? Researchers determined the publication period of relatively recent articles in 2022-2025. Researchers conducted a database search on Harzing's Publish or Perish and Scopus. Meanwhile, to determine the quality of the journal, researchers used the database on ScimagoJR.
