Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze students' critical thinking skills in solving computational mathematics problems. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Determination of the subject using purposive sampling technique by taking 3 high school level subjects who have high, medium, and low critical thinking skills. Research data collection techniques are tests and interviews. The instrument is in the form of six essay test questions and this test item contains several indicators of computational mathematics. Data analysis in this study uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that students with a high level of critical thinking ability can be considered perfect in mastering all indicators of critical thinking ability. Students with moderate levels of critical thinking skills can be judged to be able to meet the indicators of critical thinking skills but are still considered less than perfect. And students with low levels of critical thinking skills can be judged to have not completed and have not met the indicators of critical thinking skills.
