Abstract

Learning by using multimedia makes students feel more interested. This is based on the results of observations and interviews with teachers and students at MTs Walisongo Ulujami, Indonesia. At the definition stage, it is known that students tend to like learning based on learning media. The teacher also revealed things that tended to be the same, besides that it was also revealed that students had weaknesses in the two-variable linear equation system material. Therefore, based on the problems and the potential that is owned, the development of interactive learning multimedia is carried out on the material of the system of two-variable linear equations. The development of this interactive learning multimedia uses the Adobe Flash application. The research method used is research development with Thiagarajan's 4D model. The stages in development research are limited to the definition stage and the design stage. Collecting data in this study using observation and questionnaires. The design stage is obtained by interactive multimedia consisting of seven parts, namely the start page, basic competencies, competency achievement indicators, materials, examples of questions and discussions, exercises, quizzes, and profiles. By inserting the local culture of Pemalang district in the quiz questions.
