Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of flash card match media in improving the learning outcomes of students in class 1 MI Assyafiiyah Tegal on the ability to recognize hijaiyyah letters. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this research were 22 students in class 1 of MI Assyafiiyah Tegal. Data was collected through observation, interviews and final tests to determine the effectiveness of using flash card media in improving students' ability to recognize hijaiyyah letters. The research results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the percentage of students who achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) score was only 55% who mastered the material. The increase occurred in the second cycle, where the test results showed an increase, with 72.72% of students achieving ≥ 70% in mastery of the material. The use of flash card media has proven to be effective in increasing student activity and participation during the learning process. Students become more engaged and motivated to learn through active and collaborative interactions. Apart from that, this media also succeeded in creating a fun and interactive learning atmosphere, which ultimately improved students' ability to recognize hijaiyyah letters.
