Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Index Card Match method in improving student learning outcomes in the subject of Fiqh at MI Khoiro Ummah. The research adopts the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, developed by Kurt Lewin, and is conducted in several cycles to enhance and improve the quality of learning. The study was carried out at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Khoiro Ummah Bina Ummat in October 2023. The subjects of the research were 27 third-grade students with diverse characteristics in terms of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. The CAR methodology was implemented through four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of the study indicate a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the percentage of students achieving the Minimum Competency Criteria (MCC) increased from 30.8% to 61.5%. This improvement continued in the second cycle, where the percentage of students meeting the MCC rose to 84.6%, indicating that the majority of students met the set graduation standards. The use of the Index Card Match method proved effective in enhancing student engagement and participation during the learning process. Students became more involved and motivated to learn through active and collaborative interaction. Furthermore, this method also successfully created a fun and interactive learning environment, ultimately improving students' understanding of the Fiqh material.
