Abstract

This research aims to assess the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) in enhancing students' learning achievements. The method employed is Classroom Action Research. The findings indicate that the use of PBL significantly improves both the activity levels and learning outcomes of students. Teacher activity in teaching showed consistent improvement from Cycle I (score 71, fair) to Cycle III (score 92, very good). Similarly, student activity also exhibited significant improvement from Cycle I (score 69, fair) to Cycle III (score 90, very good). These improvements are reflected in the students' learning outcomes, with the percentage of students achieving scores above the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) gradually increasing from 63% in Cycle I (average score 72.52) to 95% in Cycle III (average score 85.15). These results affirm that the PBL model is effective in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes in the study of zakat, highlighting the urgency of implementing teaching models that foster active student participation and improve learning quality.
