Abstract

This study examines the enhancement of students' learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education through the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) strategy on the material about the Prophets Ulul Azmi. Conducted in three cycles, each cycle consists of two sessions. Initially, conventional teaching strategies were applied for preliminary observation. In the second cycle, PBL was implemented with a greater emphasis on group discussions, problem-solving, and interactive dialogue. Observation results showed a significant increase in students' learning motivation. In the first cycle, aspects such as timely attendance, bringing textbooks, learning enthusiasm, and active participation increased with percentages ranging from 54.2% to 79.2%. In the second cycle, after PBL implementation, all aspects showed further improvement, with timely attendance reaching 95.8%, and enthusiasm and active participation exceeding 90%. PBL proved effective in enhancing students' learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education material.
