Abstract

This workshop was the first step in the training, where teachers were introduced to the different types of APE that they could make. We discussed the basic concepts of APE, the selection of environmentally friendly and easily available materials, and simple techniques in making APE that can be applied in the classroom. The demonstration session provided a more in-depth look at the process of making APE. The service team brought examples of APE that had been made, gave step-by-step explanations, and shared practical tips. This session not only provided technical understanding, but also inspired the teachers to explore their creativity. In order to apply the knowledge gained directly, the hands-on session was the highlight of the training. The teachers were encouraged to create their own APE with the guidance of the service team. This session is not only about making APE, but also developing creative thinking in designing play tools that suit the subject matter and needs of the students. After the teachers created their own APE, an evaluation and discussion session was conducted. Teachers share their experiences, provide feedback and discuss the potential for further development. This is an opportunity to build a supportive learning community among teachers.
