Abstract

When COVID-19 was declared a national disaster outbreak and the pandemic had affected various aspects of life including economic aspects, several regions implemented large social coverage measures (PSBB) to prevent wider spread. The government carries out policies to handle the community's economy with various policy programs. This research aims to gain knowledge about the distribution of social assistance and analyze existing social assistance problems. This type of research uses qualitative methods. Researchers conducted research by observing the distribution of social assistance, interviews with the Tipar Kidul community. The government launched a policy of accelerating social assistance as compensation for implementing PPKM. However, there are still several problems that cause social assistance to not be on target. To overcome the problem of distribution of social assistance that is not on target, it needs to be corrected by re-collecting data. This policy is social assistance to save the people's economy in the midst of COVID-19, namely (1) Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) (2) Family Hope Program (PKH) (3) Direct Village Fund Cash Assistance (BLT Village Funds).
