Abstract

The development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the digital era is becoming increasingly important, along with the development of information and communication technology. This research aims to explore the role of human resources in the progress of MSMEs, focusing on Kedungjaran Village as a case study. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews with MSME owners, workers, and community leaders in Kedungjaran Village. The research results show that human resources have a significant role in driving the progress of MSMEs in the digital era. However, the lack of ability and knowledge to deal with digital technology is the main challenge faced by MSMEs in this village. Therefore, strengthening the skills and knowledge of human resources is the key to increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs in the digital era, as well as encouraging economic growth at the local level.
