Abstract

The development of digital technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), has presented great opportunities in the world of education, including at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) or Elementary School (SD) level. In the midst of 21st century learning demands, teachers are required to have strong digital literacy competencies to create adaptive, innovative and quality learning. This study aims to comprehensively examine the use of AI technology as a strategic tool in improving the digital literacy of MI / SD teachers, as well as its implications for improving the quality of learning. Through literature study and analysis of various recent literatures, it is found that AI can be utilized in various forms, including: utilization for automatic learning planning, AI-based virtual assistants (such as ChatGPT and Google Bard), automatic evaluation and assessment systems, personalization of learning, and real-time data analysis of student learning outcomes. In addition, AI also supports the development of interactive learning content and provides recommendations for teaching strategies that suit individual student needs. With AI integration, teachers can focus more on pedagogical strengthening and improving personal interactions with students. These findings suggest that AI is an important tool in improving digital literacy and overall learning quality at the primary education level.
