Abstract

The development of digital technology encourages educators to continuously innovate in delivering engaging and easy-to-understand learning materials, particularly in mathematics, a subject often considered difficult by elementary school students. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of using the Canva platform as a learning medium in improving understanding of mathematical concepts at the elementary school level. Using a qualitative approach and a literature review method, researchers analyzed various relevant literature to examine Canva's effectiveness as a learning aid. The results of the study indicate that Canva is able to transform the way teachers deliver mathematics materials, making them more concrete, engaging, and understandable. Not only does it improve conceptual understanding, but this platform has also been proven to build learning motivation through a contextual and participatory visual approach. Based on these findings, Canva is recommended as an innovative alternative learning medium that is appropriate for 21st-century learning needs in elementary schools.
