Abstract

This study aims to explore teacher strategies in designing interactive learning videos tailored to Generation Alpha’s characteristics within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum at SD Harapan Mulia Islamic School. Generation Alpha, raised in a digital environment, demands a contextual, engaging, and meaningful technology-based learning approach. The research employs a qualitative case study method, with data collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal six key strategies implemented by teachers: analyzing student learning needs, selecting contextual materials, utilizing video design applications, integrating Islamic values, evaluating video effectiveness, and involving parents. The learning videos were designed with interactive visual media, supported by tools such as CapCut, Canva, and AI Video Avatar, and embedded with spiritual content to foster student character. Despite challenges such as limited time and varying teacher digital skills, the strategies proved effective in enhancing student engagement. This study is expected to serve as a reference for developing adaptive and applicable digital learning media that meets 21st-century needs in Islamic elementary education.
