Abstract

Advancements in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) have opened up numerous opportunities to transform learning methods in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) and elementary schools (SD). One of the digital innovations that can be utilized in the learning process is interactive simulations developed by PhET (Physics Education Technology). The aim of this article is to examine the use of PhET as an interactive learning tool in Natural Science (IPA) subjects at SD/MI by employing a literature review approach from various relevant sources. The results indicate that PhET can present abstract concepts in science in a clear and engaging manner, thereby encouraging students to be more actively involved in learning, enhancing their conceptual understanding, and facilitating virtual experiment-based learning. Furthermore, the use of PhET supports the implementation of ICT-based learning that is responsive to the needs of 21st-century learners. Therefore, integrating PhET into science learning in SD/MI is a crucial strategy to create a more innovative, effective, and enjoyable learning environment.
