Abstract

Interest in learning is a very important factor for students, especially at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) and Elementary School (SD) levels, so that they can understand the material presented by the teacher. However, in reality there are still many students who are less interested or not enthusiastic in participating in learning in class. As a solution, learning is carried out interactively by utilizing digital technology such as Augmented Reality (AR). This technology allows students to combine the real world and the virtual world into learning materials, making learning more interesting. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the use of Augmented Reality media can increase students' interest in learning in MI/SD. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. The results of the study show that many researchers have developed and used AR media in various learning materials, and have been proven to increase student interest and learning outcomes. Therefore, the development of Augmented Reality media needs to be continued in order to help students understand lessons better.
