Abstract

As time goes by, technology has become an important component in many fields, including elementary education. Given that Augmented Reality (AR) allows the integration of three-dimensional visual elements into real-world environments, this study focuses on the application of AR as a teaching tool in elementary schools with the potential to improve the quality of learning. Understanding how AR affects the teaching and learning process at the MI/SD level is the main objective of this study. The impact of AR on student motivation, interest, and learning outcomes is a research that must be answered. Literature review is the research methodology used, and the data comes from a number of previous studies. To find patterns and trends related to the usefulness of AR in education, the collected data were examined. The findings show that the use of Augmented Reality (AR) as a teaching tool can increase student motivation and interest in learning, make difficult topics easier to understand, and produce an interesting and interactive learning environment. In addition, AR makes it easier for students to understand the material, especially in subjects that require visuals. The hope with this research is that AR can be an innovation for the advancement of education, especially in the elementary school realm.
