INTEGRASI LITERASI DIGITAL DAN NILAI ETIKA TEKNOLOGI DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

The development of technology today creates many conveniences in learning. The optimal use of technology through digital literacy will produce a knowledgeable generation, able to identify key elements of important competencies in education. However, if the use of technology is not accompanied by the cultivation of ethics, this can lead to a decline in character and abuse in the use of technology. This understanding of digital literacy and ethical values needs to be developed to foster elementary school students' competence in technology. The purpose of this study is to describe the importance of integrating digital literacy and ethical values of technology in improving the competence of elementary school students. The research method used is a qualitative-descriptive method with a literature study approach, where data sources are obtained through books, articles, journals, or other supporting sources. The results of this study show that combining digital literacy with ethical values in the use of technology has a very important role in improving the competence of elementary school students, because with this students can develop critical thinking skills, create creativity, foster digital ethics and responsibility, and prepare students to face the challenges of a world that is increasingly dependent on technology.
