Leadership skills are essential 21st-century competencies that should be developed from an
early age, especially among elementary school students. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of
the Project-Based Learning (PJBL) model in developing leadership skills among 4th-grade students at
SDN Jetaklengkong. The research employed a field research method with a qualitative approach. Data
were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive
qualitative techniques. The results showed that the application of the PJBL model effectively enhanced
students' leadership skills, which were reflected in increased self-confidence, teamwork abilities,
responsibility, and the courage to express opinions. Students became more active in the learning process,
demonstrated good teamwork, and displayed leadership skills through decision-making and problem
solving. Based on these findings, the PJBL model can be an effective alternative teaching method for
developing leadership skills in elementary students.
