Abstract

Mathematical communication abilities possessed by students theoretically include being influenced by self regulated learning and linguistic intelligence, so it is necessary to maximize these two things so that students' mathematical communication abilities become better. This study aims to determine: (1) whether there is a significant effect of self regulated learning on mathematical communication skills; (2) whether there is a significant influence of linguistic intelligence on mathematical communication skills; (3) whether there is a significant effect of self regulated learning and linguistic intelligence simultaneously on mathematical communication skills. The population in this study were all students of grade VIII at SMP Negeri 1Comal. The research sample was students of class VIII G and VIII H. The results of this study are: (1) there is a significant influence between self regulated learning on mathematical communication skills; (2) there is a significant influence between linguistic intelligence on mathematical communication skills; (3) there is a significant influence between self regulated learning and linguistic intelligence on mathematical communication skills.
