Abstract

This research aims to improve PAI and BP learning outcomes for class VII B students at SMPN 5 Pekalongan in the material Faith in the Last Day through a Class Action approach (action research) for 2 cycles. The research subjects were 20 sixth grade students at SD Negeri Tunon 1 Tegal City, with the main problem related to PAI and BP learning outcomes in this material. Data collection was carried out through documentary techniques for learning outcomes before and after action, as well as test, interview and observation techniques to evaluate student activities in learning. Data analysis was carried out using the descriptive percentage method, showing a significant increase in student learning outcomes from cycle to cycle, with the class average score increasing from 61 in pre-cycle to 86.3 in cycle 2. These results indicate that the use of audiovisual media in learning PAI and BP can be effective in increasing students' understanding of the material on Faith in the Last Days. This study provides positive implications for PAI and BP teachers to adopt a more active, innovative, creative and fun learning approach using relevant media.
