PENGGUNAAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN THINK PAIR SHARE DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DAN BUDI PEKERTI MATERI IMAN PADA HARI AKHIR PADA SISWA KELAS XII IPS 2 SMA NEGERI 1 MOGA

This research aims to improve student learning achievement in Islamic Religious Education and
Character subjects, especially in faith material at the end of the day, using the Think Pair Share
(TPS) learning model. The classroom action research (PTK) method is applied by collecting data
through observation and cognitive tests. The research was conducted on class XII IPS 2 students at
SMA Negeri 1 Moga. The research results show that the use of the TPS model has succeeded in
increasing student learning achievement. In the first cycle, 66.7% of students achieved learning
completeness with an absorption capacity of 75%, while in the second cycle, 100% of students
achieved learning completeness with an absorption capacity of 86.7%. Student activity also
increased from 78.75% in the first cycle to 87.5% in the second cycle. The urgency of this research
lies in efforts to find effective learning methods in increasing active participation and student
learning outcomes, especially in subjects that are often taught conventionally with lectures. The
results of this research confirm that the TPS model can provide a more meaningful and memorable
learning experience for students.
