PEMANFAATAN MEDIA AUDIO VISUAL DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK KELAS XI PADA MATERI PENGURUSAN JENAZAH DI SMA NEGERI 1 WONOTUNGGAL

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of audio-visual media in enhancing the learning activity and understanding of 11th-grade students on the topic of funeral management at SMA Negeri 1 Wonotunggal, Kecamatan Wonotunggal, Kabupaten Batang. The research question is: Can audio-visual media improve the understanding of 11th-grade students on the topic of funeral management at SMA Negeri 1 Wonotunggal? This research employs a qualitative approach using classroom action research methods. Data were collected through observations and tests. The subjects of this research were 30 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Wonotunggal. The study was conducted in three cycles: Cycle I, Cycle II, and Cycle III. Observations in Cycle I showed student activity at 65%, which increased to 84% in Cycle III, indicating high effectiveness. For learning outcomes, the average final test score in Cycle I was 78.7 with a classical completeness percentage of 70%. After reflection and action in Cycle III, the average final test score increased to 85.8 with a classical completeness percentage of 93%. The results of this study demonstrate that there is an improvement in students' understanding of Islamic religious education through the use of audio-visual media.
