THE URGENCY OF PESANTREN AS A SUPERIOR GENERATION FRAMER TO MEET GOLDEN INDONESIA IN 2045

Abstract

Education is the most strategic vehicle to manage the potential of a productive population which is the basic capital towards a Golden Indonesia 2045. Through this research, the author aims to reveal that Indonesia as a country with the largest Muslim population in the world will be able to become a great country if it applies the right education concept. To achieve these objectives, researchers used qualitative methods. The findings in this study indicate that adab is a very important component that every generation must possess to advance the country. Ki Hajar Dewantara's ideas about the vision of "Merdeka Belajar" and Pesantren as ideal models of national education, in accordance with the state constitution; UUD 1945 Pasal 31, UU No. 20/2003, and UU No. 12/2012  1945 concerning the Goals of National Education, namely to form a generation of believers, piety, and noble character. In Pesantren, teachers are not only obliged to transform knowledge, but also required to internalize the values ​​of students creatively, innovatively, and inspiringly. Pesantren have a very large contribution to the independence of the Republic of Indonesia. Even in history, Islamic education has given birth to many brilliant generations who have contributed a lot to the progress of mankind.
