Abstract

This research was conducted to describe the role of Ma'had Al-Jami'ah in increasing the religious understanding of students at K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid State Islamic University Pekalongan. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the presence of Ma'had al - Jami'ah at the K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid State Islamic University Pekalongan campus plays a very important role in student scholarship, especially in the field of religion. Because Ma'had al-Jami'ah has a learning program in the field of religion both in the form of Tahsin Al-Qur'an, understanding the book of turot, and tahfidz Al-Qur'an. However, there are still factors that cause learning at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah to be less than optimal, namely the absence of student dormitory buildings as supporting facilities.
