Abstrak

Education is the main need for human progress. Therefore, Islam gives special attention to the problem. Islam stipulates that education not only produces intelligent people, but also virtuous people. Learning is a change in one's actions, behavior or appearance through a series of reading, observing, imitating and following directions. Learning will be better if the subject learns for himself what he is learning, so that the process of imparting knowledge is not just an expression, but is an individual experience. While the process of imparting knowledge to objects, within certain limits requires operational methods and techniques, so that learning outcomes can be obtained optimally. The Prophet's period was a short period in the process of giving or transferring knowledge. This period demands the seriousness, concentration and caution of the Companions as the first generation as inheritors of Islamic teachings and the first recipients of the second source of Islamic law, namely the hadiths, because in the hands of the Companions hadiths must be preserved and conveyed to the next heir simultaneously and continuously. This type of research is library research and this research is classified into descriptive qualitative research. The data analysis techniques used is content analysis. While the technique of data collection using documentation techniques. The results of this study include: (1) Definition of learning approach. (2) Educational material in the era of Rasulullah Muhammad SAW.; contains about faith education, emotional and reasoning education, and Al-Qur'an teaching materials. (3) The method used by Rasulullah Muhammad SAW. in teaching material.
