Abstrak

Social and economic developments have encouraged more and more women to work in the public sphere, thus giving rise to a dual role between domestic and professional duties. This condition often causes imbalances, such as reduced attention to children, lack of family communication, and increased domestic conflicts. This study examines the phenomenon of dysfunction in the role of career women in the family through the perspective of Maqāṣid al-Syarī'ah using a literature study method with a qualitative descriptive approach, collecting data from various journals and literature related to career women and family problems. The analysis was carried out through content analysis with a focus on three main maqāṣids: hifz al-nafs, hifz al-nasl, and hifz al-māl. The results of the study show that the role of career women can be beneficial if they are able to maintain a balance between family and work. However, when career dominates to the point of neglecting domestic obligations, this condition turns into mafsadah that is contrary to the goals of sharia. This study emphasizes the importance of managing dual roles for curry women in a proportional manner for the sake of achieving family harmony and benefits
