This study aims to analyze in depth the implementation of green economic strategies at the Al-Islahiyah Mayan Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) in Kediri and its impact on community empowerment and sustainable environmental practices. The Islamic Boarding School is seen as a unique socio-economic laboratory for the integration of religious values with the principle of desire. This study adopted a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data in this study were analyzed through a qualitative framework, namely data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Triangulation was used to verify the validity of the findings. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the green economy at the Al-Islahiyah Ponpes is realized through three main sustainable initiatives, namely: 1) Integrated Agroecology: Development of organic farming and livestock with a zero-waste system, where manure is processed into biogas (an energy source) and organic fertilizer. 2) Inclusive Community Empowerment: The Islamic boarding school serves as an education and training center that engages students and the surrounding community throughout the green production value chain, from planting to marketing, thereby creating sustainable skills and income. 3) Independent Waste Management: The implementation of an effective recycling and composting system significantly reduces the volume of waste sent to landfills. This model successfully creates a circular micro-economy that not only improves resource efficiency (water and energy) but also raises ecological awareness and strengthens social bonds within the community. Sustainable environmental practices are integrated into the Islamic boarding school curriculum.
