Abstract

The Muslim family's dynamics are drastically altered by the swift shift of the digital age, bringing up new challenges in communication, parenting, and the preservation of Islamic spiritual values. The goal of this conceptual research is to give a comprehensive overview of the new difficulties, strategic possibilities, and essential adaptation tactics for Islamic Family Guidance and Counseling in this digital environment. Using a thorough literature review approach, the study reveals a number of major issues, such as the deterioration in the quality of face-to-face interaction, clients' poor digital literacy, counselors' lack of digital competence, and complicated concerns pertaining to ethics and data privacy. In contrast, the digital environment presents a lot of prospects, like the expansion of cybercounseling, the creation of cutting-edge Islamic counseling apps, and the use of Islamic Family Guidance and Counseling as a basis for online family resilience. The main adaptation strategies include a paradigm change in the direction of Digital-Spiritual Integration, with an emphasis on systematically improving counselors' digital skills and ethical awareness, mandatory digital literacy courses for families to manage the effects of technology on communication and tarbiyah, and the use of virtual counseling strategies while adhering to Islamic adab (etiquette). In conclusion, to successfully foster family harmony and resilience while ensuring that spiritual principles continue to be the foundation in the face of technological change, Islamic Family Guidance and Counseling must move away from a conventional therapeutic service and toward an adaptable, comprehensive, and preventative psycho-spiritual approach.
