Abstrak

Contemporary parents face significant challenges from the digital era, leading to confusion and the threat of moral decadence. This creates an urgent need for an authentic, spiritually-grounded parenting framework. While previous studies on Islamic parenting by scholars like Ulwan and An-Nahlawi exist, there is a research gap concerning the tazkiyatun nafs (soul purification) approach of Habib Umar bin Hafiz, particularly as detailed in his work Is'afu Thalibi Ridho Khallaq. This study aims to analyze and formulate the conceptual framework of child parenting (tarbiyatul aulad) from the perspective of Habib Umar bin Hafiz as a conceptual solution for contemporary challenges. This study employed a qualitative, library-based research method. The primary data source was Habib Umar’s Is'afu Thalibi Ridho Khallaq, supplemented by secondary books, journals, and lectures. All data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that Habib Umar’s framework views parenting not as a separate discipline but as a necessary implication of makarimul akhlaq (noble ethics). The framework is holistic, beginning before birth with the parents' piety as the foundation, emphasizing the husband's qawwamah as an educator, household shidq (truthfulness), and digital-era 'iffah (modesty). The process relies on pillars of faith (halal sustenance) and social ethics (selecting good peers, or rufaqa' al-khair). The core methodology for parents is rooted in sabar (patience), rahmah (mercy), and al-Hilm (forbearance). This research concludes that Habib Umar bin Hafiz offers a comprehensive, systematic, and spirituality-centered parenting framework rooted in tazkiyatun nafs that directly addresses the foundational spiritual crises of modern parenting
